Big Data- Business Analyst SME

What You Will Do: 

• Engage with prospects and enterprise customers to understand their business requirements and objectives. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Engineering, to architect and deliver solutions. 

• Extract, clean, and preprocess large volumes of structured and unstructured data from various sources. 

• Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical techniques to analyze complex datasets. 

• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations. 

• Design and execute data-driven experiments to test hypotheses and validate findings. 

• Create visualizations and dashboards to present insights and findings to stakeholders. 

• Develop predictive models and machine learning algorithms to forecast future trends and behaviors. 

• Monitor and evaluate data quality, integrity, and consistency to ensure accuracy and reliability. 

• Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in big data analytics. 

What You'll Bring To The Table: 

• Experience working directly with business customers on the content and usage of large enterprise systems, particularly ERP systems (such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) with a solid understanding of common use cases within these systems. Experience with exporting and archiving content from these systems is a plus. 

• Proficient in big data infrastructure technologies such as Hive, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and Flume. 

• Experienced in data migration and data conversion projects, especially involving large-scale and complex data sets. 

• The candidate should possess a solid knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks. 

• Knowledgeable in data governance, data security, and data privacy best practices. 

• Skilled in data quality assessment, data cleansing, data integration, and data transformation. 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as communication and collaboration skills. 

• Preferably to have a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, computer engineering, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field. 

• Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken, with experience in direct interactions with users in large businesses.  

• Technical expertise is required, with a focus on understanding and guiding the technical aspects of the application rather than hands-on deployment. 

• Certified or trained in relevant big data technologies and platforms. 

• Knowledge of networking concepts including Private DNS, Private Links, App Gateways, Firewalls, and Route Tables. 

• Understanding of troubleshooting using Azure native tools in the Azure portal. 

• Experience with OpenSearch / Elasticsearch. 

• Ability to engage with clients and prospects, understand their needs, and communicate technical concepts effectively. 

• Familiarity with application retirement and decommissioning processes is a plus. 

• A willingness to travel for client meetings and internal business needs.
